Man irresistibly carries on his ascent to higher consciousness levels. This progress can't always be seen because of the contrasting shapes it takes. We make the most of the development of our intellectual abilities, our accumulation of knowledge and our experience, spiritually as well as materially speaking. Man carries on building societies based on leisure and pleasure in a wide variety of forms.

It is getting more and more difficult not to yield to the temptation of spending your time enjoying the increasingly appealing pleasures we create every day. And why shouldn't we give way to it ? Because pleasure is by nature insatiable and it is far and away what most solidly chains us to this world's illusion. Thus it is a solid obstacle on our spiritual path. Man can sell his soul for pleasure. He can murder, steal, rape, and commit appalling things.

At a not so remote time, most of men considered as normal to reduce defeated enemies to slavery. Today they are made prisoners, and tomorrow the idea of enemy will finally disappear.

Nowadays, we breed huge quantities of animals so as to eat them. Tomorrow, we will globally respect life. Making suffer conscious animals in order to eat them will be unimaginable. Most of men will become vegetarian because of their respect for life in any shape. We will understand that we mustn't use our superiority over the other forms of life on our planet as a power, but as a responsibility that makes Man the guardian of all forms of life.

Man's duty is to help lower shapes of life in their own development process. To understand that is to fathom God's thought who wanted power to be always used for the good of others and not for selfish reasons at the others' expense.
