| The permanent
need to judge everything, and especially the people
around us, is one of the main obstacles to our spiritual
evolution.
We hardly meet someone that we already judge him or
her. We even judge people before meeting them. And once
we have put a label on someone, we can no longer know
the person because of the image we have of him or her
and that comes from our social and cultural patterns
as well as our personal experience.
Then we only see the character we have imagined and
decided to see.
Prejudice is an impediment for conscience awakening.
To be biased implies to be unable to discern and it
creates a prism which distorts the real nature of people
as well as their personality.
There's only one way to heal from this habit, it is
to stop definitely considering that you have the right
to judge the others.
But if you can't help it, for mind
is very rebellious and defiant, there's another and
even more efficient solution.
Become your own judge! But be at least
as violent and uncompromising as you are with the others.
If you can do that, then it's sure,
it won't be long before you reach enlightenment!
