8th is the international day dedicated to women. This
day has the merit at least of existing so as to remember
that women suffer men's domination from time immemorial.
The struggle of women who fight for more equality is
above all a struggle for freedom and dignity.
This fight is also guided by the willpower to express
a different sensibility. An idea of ruling the world
different from the one that has always been imposed
by men. Women want to take part in public affairs in
a world where they outnumber men but however are less
represented than them. What could be more natural ?
Their wish is not, as some people pretend, to solve
this problem of imbalance swapping the roles of the
dominating and the dominated.
Let's not forget that it is male chauvinism
which gave birth to feminism.
And feminism is an epiphenomenon, but
male chauvinism is not!
Most of women just want to live in
a more fair society, a society which aims at equity.
Their ideal is that feminine and masculine qualities
would be equally represented so as to make up for our
mutual defaults.
We can also observe that the macrocosm
of our societies is similar to the microcosm formed
by every individual. Many men still believe that emphasizing
their masculine qualities make them "real men".
It's a mistake. Maturity, which makes us accomplished
men or women, is in the balance between specific qualities
of both genders.
And to reach maturity, we must first learn to acknowledge
other's qualities knowing that we also possess them.
Then, we have to make them grow.
And in this field, women are ahead
of men. They are generally more mature, for to express
themselves in our macho societies they necessarily have
to develop their masculine qualities.
But the accomplished being, let's not
forget it, is the one who reaches this subtle balance
when man and woman live together in perfect harmony.
For complementarity between feminine
and masculine qualities is the best way to overcome
our defaults.
And it's the prerequisite to become
one day a realized man or woman.
