It is vain to believe that you will achieve great things if you are not able to do little things in your every day life.

Many seekers wish to take part in great charity organization projects. Others aim at achieving a high level of spiritual realization. This is the typical approach of mind. It is guided by ambition and a deep desire of being recognized, while hidden behind seemingly altruistic or spiritual attitudes.

I recently met a woman who told me that her destiny, according to her, was to carry out a great charitable project. She consulted psychics on a regular basis so as to have confirmation of the future she was expecting. And as a matter of fact, you always meet people that reflect to you the best image of you you have made for yourself, and it is usually to them that you pay most attention.

I simply asked that person how many times she had given a little bit of her blood. It is certainly not an extraordinary action but however it is very efficient to concretely help the others ! She was very troubled by my question because she became aware that she had never done such a thing. Not even once in her life.

Then I asked her what part of her time she was really dedicating to helping people. She was again at a loss, because she suddenly realized that her desire to accomplish a great work had made her blind to such an extent that she could not pay attention to all the little things she could have done in her daily life, and put together, could have been the great work of her life.

She had been preparing herself for many years to achieve a great work, and this obssessing idea had turned her away from all the little generous acts she could have done every day.

Far from being unique, this attitude reflects a widely spread tendancy. It is not an easy thing to get rid of the ego. It hinders all the sincere attitudes you first have and in an underhand way turns you away from them.

This is why I tell you, do not try and do great things, for even the most praiseworthy intention do not feed the hungry people.

Always give priority to little but concrete action.

Do not try and save the billions people starving in the world, but content yourself with saving one. If you can do it, then you will be able to consider helping someone else and maybe one day many other people.

Contrarily to preconceived ideas, the spiritual way is not the one of the dreamers, but of realistic people. Experienced seekers know that to reach the top of a ladder, you have to climb every rung and it is illusory and dangerous to pretend you can jump from the bottom to the top.

Be pragmatic. Give your blood, dedicate your time, respect nature and life under all its forms, and be more attentive to the other's needs.

We all have an important mission to achieve and it begins with all the little acts in your daily life inspired by love.
