We all have to bear
"our cross". Jesus never said :"Pray for
me and I shall save you", he left a message of Truth
and Love so that we can understand that every man, every
woman, has to live his - her - own resurrection, here
and now, even if it means being crucified like him !
But of course it is much easier to believe that exceptional
men like Jesus - who was nevertheless murdered cowardly
by men - will do anything for us in return for a little
bit of submission towards them, all the more easy that
they physically are not here any more.
Don't
make this tragic mistake, a Master can help you only
if you decide to involve yourself with all your soul.
Supplications are not true signs of respect and love.
You show love with your acting humbly
and selflessly towards others, not with prayers. Respect
expresses itself in involvement, and certainly not in
cowardice and laziness. An imperfect action is better
than a good will which doesn't take concrete shape !
I don't say you should renounce to
pray, but your prayer has clearly to result in your
involvement. But if you persist in believing that prayer
is an end in itself and that you have fulfilled your
"task" after having implored the Lord to take
responsibility for you, you are totally mistaken. "God
helps them who help themselves". Recognizing the
genuineness of someone's faith is an easy thing, if
you're a little bit perceptive.
To express your faith - which is the
intuitive perception of Reality - it is necessary to
go deep within yourself. By introspection will you discover
That. Then, when you have distinctly recognized Faith,
you must express it every day with serenity in thought,
word and deed.
